Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. a single source service provider
for equipment calibration marks a milestone of 20 years in business.

May 2018—LANSDALE, PENNSYLVANIA—Milestones are a time of reflection. 20 years ago, Integrated Service Solutions opened its doors in a home-based office pioneering the idea of providing a single source solution to FDA-regulated businesses. Today the company is headquartered in a 20,000 sq. ft. modern facility, employing sixty full-time professionals and servicing more than 800 regulated businesses nationwide.

“When I started this business, life-science companies had little choice but to call the Original Equipment Manufacturers’ (OEMs) or multiple service providers to calibrate and service their laboratory and packaging equipment, analytical instrumentation and test standards used by their technicians. I realized it wasn’t cost effective to contact dozens of companies to service equipment,” said Joseph Uricchio, Founder and President of Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. “I founded this company on the idea of providing businesses with a single source solution delivering quality equipment services and best value.”

 

The early success of the Company was its core business base of servicing pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. In 20 years, that list has expanded to include a roster of regulated businesses such as the leading public health institute in the U.S., as well as cosmetic companies, food and beverage businesses and nutraceuticals.

The success and longevity of Integrated Service Solutions is an ongoing commitment to the continuous improvement of services and the accreditations required such as ISO 9001:2015 and ISO A2LA 17025.

To demonstrate that obligation to its customers, in 2017 the Company further expanded its scope of accreditation by ISO A2LA 17025 to include field calibrations.

They championed the idea of going paperless more than a dozen years ago switching all of their calibration records to electronic documents

Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. a single source service provider to regulated industries was awarded a contract value of $3M with a term of a base year and four option years to deliver A2LA 17025 accredited calibrations

July 12, 2017—LANSDALE, PENNSYLVANIA— Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. (ISS, the Company) announced today that they were awarded a contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia to provide A2LA 17025 accredited Metrology services.

The scope of the contract, beginning in July, calls for Integrated Service Solutions to provide on-site calibrations for pipettes, centrifuges, balances and thermometers. In addition, the CDC will ship equipment to the Company’s Metrology Laboratory for accredited calibrations.

“The purpose of this contract is to provide standardization of on-site equipment calibrations across multiple labs at the CDC documented to the quality standard of ISO 17025,” said Catherine Peetros, Director Operations, Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. “We are excited to leverage our experience and technical knowledge to support the CDC.”

With longevity in the industry as a leading service provider, the Company earned their ISO 9001:2008 registration in 2004 and in 2007 secured their ISO/IEC A2LA 17025 scope of accreditation. Beginning in 2017, Integrated Service Solutions committed the time and resources to expand their ISO/IEC 17025:2005 scope of accreditation to also include on-site calibrations for:

MARCH 2017—LANSDALE, PENNSYLVANIA— Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. (the Company) announced today that they completed another successful audit and expanded their scope of accreditation by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for field calibration services.

With longevity in the industry as a leading service provider, the Company committed the time and resources to expand their scope of existing ISO/IEC 17025:2005 scope of accreditation to now include:

  • O2 and CO2 for gas detection equipment
  • Pressure
  • Relative Humidity
  • Temperature
  • RPM
  • Chemical
    • pH
    • Conductivity
  • Time

Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. Announces Expanded Scope of Accreditation by A2LA

Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. a single source service provider to regulated industries announces low temperature Dew Point Calibrations added to expanded scope of accreditation.

MARCH 2017—LANSDALE, PENNSYLVANIA— Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. (the Company) announced today that they expanded their scope of accreditation by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for low temperature Dew Point Calibrations. The expanded scope now includes dew point calibrations. The full ranges include -95 to 60°C FP/DP.

As an industry-leading service provider, the Company invested the time and resources to expand their accreditation to include dew point to meet the requirements of specific customers. The new test equipment is a two-temperature, two-pressure low humidity generator that operates over the range of -95°C to +10°C FP/DP with an accuracy of +/-0.1C FP/DP with the lowest uncertainty of +/-0.19°C FP/DP. This same model is the one that manufacturers use for their original factory calibrations of dew point equipment.

“Investing in the equipment and expanding the scope to deliver A2LA 17025 accredited dew point calibrations demonstrates our technical competence and gives our clients a clear differentiator in their service provider,” said Joe Uricchio, President and CEO.
“This specialized equipment complements other standards for temperature and humidity equipment in our Metrology Lab. Adding this provides our customers with a much faster turnaround time of about two weeks compared to the industry norm of up to 13 weeks and our calibration is now A2LA 17025 accredited, added Uricchio.”

Laboratories use ISO/IEC 17025 to implement a quality system aimed at improving their ability to consistently produce valid results and since the standard is about competence, accreditation is a formal recognition of that competence.

Accreditation by nationally recognized organizations provides customers with confidence in calibration reports and traceability. In addition, an unbiased assessment of a laboratory’s standards and procedures provides an impartial viewpoint as to how a laboratory functions.
