This gives the ability to interact with the customers, quickly answer their questions and increase customer satisfaction. It adds the vital personal touch.”

Live chat is becoming more and more commonplace on websites as they look to differentiate themselves and provide customers with an engaging experience. Many people surveyed said they dislike waiting around for replies to emails. Instead, they are looking for real-time answers to questions.

Successful Audit by Medical Device Manufacturer to 17025 Requirements

August 22, 2013—Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. Successfully Completes Audit by Medical Device Manufacturer to 17025 Requirements— Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. announced today the successful completion of their first 17025 customer audit. The audit was conducted at the corporate office of Integrated Service Solutions by a customer who is an international medical device manufacturer.

A2LA-ISO-17025-Calibration

In July, 2007, Integrated Service Solutions earned the A2LA 17025 accreditation. Since that time, the Company undergoes annual assessment audits by A2LA which is the accrediting organization.

“Typically, we host twelve to sixteen customer audits annually at our facility,” said Catherine Peetros, Director of Business Development. “However, this is the first time that a customer conducted their audit to the rigorous requirements of 17025.”

Audits conducted to 17025 requirements focus on the competence of calibration laboratories and a quality system that demonstrates the ability to consistently produce valid results. In addition, the auditor looks for proof that there are continuous improvements to the quality system itself and, in particular, communication to the customer.

Noteworthy comments from the auditor include feedback such as:

  • Very impressed with the facility and the Metrology Lab
  • Your electronic documentation is the first I’ve seen of its kind. Typically, an audit consists of reams and reams of paper. Having everything electronic is impressive and a first of its kind.
  • Your quality system is mature and everything is well documented including your training records
  • There is clear evidence that dollars are reinvested in the company

“Customer satisfaction is a key component of our service business and ties directly to our 17025 accreditation as well as our ISO registration. So we regularly survey our client base to get their feedback, insight and suggestions. This is an internationally recognized standard to ensure that a company’s quality management system is operating effectively and that clear corporate goals have been defined.   • Established procedures and processes are in place for the delivery of services. All calibrations for new customers are 100% reviewed by the quality team. All new technicians receive hands-on training in the field by senior staff and their work is 100% inspected.
  • Customer satisfaction survey returns is in the 14% – 20% range with very good ratings. All customer feedback is immediately followed up with the customer and shared with all of the technicians.
  • The average number of days to close CAPAs is about 15 days vs. beating the goal of 30 days.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in delivering on site preventive maintenance and calibration services.

Celebrating 15 Years in Business

May 2013 – Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. a single source service provider for equipment calibration and maintenance thanks its customers for their ongoing support as they celebrate their fifteenth year in business.

LANSDALE, PENNSYLVANIA—Milestones are a time of reflection. 15 years ago Integrated Service Solutions opened its doors in a home-based office pioneering the idea of a single source solution for life science companies. Today the company is headquartered in a dynamic 20,000 sq. ft. modern facility, employs nearly sixty full-time professionals and services more than 500 regulated businesses throughout the country.

“When I started this business, life-science companies had little choice but to call the Original Equipment Manufacturers’ (OEMs) or multiple service providers to calibrate and service the manufacturing and packaging equipment, analytical instrumentation and tools used by their employees. I realized it wasn’t cost effective to contact dozens of companies to service equipment,” said Joseph Uricchio, Founder and President of Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. “So, we founded this company on the idea of providing businesses with a single source solution for all their equipment calibration and maintenance needs.”

In 15 years, the Company has expanded from its core business base of servicing pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to a roster of regulated businesses such as cosmetics, food and beverage and nutraceuticals. Metrology Lab Expands Capabilities and Services

April 29, 2012— Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. announced today the expansion of their calibration services by adding Physical Dimensional calibration capabilities.

LANSDALE, PENNSYLVANIA—
“Integrated Service Solutions, Inc.™ services more than 450 customers and adding this capability to our range of services is another benefit to our customers who want to deal with a single source provider,” said Joseph Uricchio, Founder and President of Integrated Service Solutions, Inc.

The company invested in a LabMaster Universal. It is a product of Pratt & Whitney Measurement Systems, Inc™.; a company with more than 150 years of providing high quality, high accuracy measurement instruments.

All physical dimensional equipment that comes into the Metrology lab at Integrated Service Solutions for calibration is stabilized in an environmentally controlled setting. A team of technicians, trained by Pratt & Whitney personnel, provide calibration services meeting ISO 17025 standards.

“During our next A2LA audit, we will add Physical Dimensional calibrations to our scope of accreditation,” added Uricchio.

The accuracy and exacting standards of the LabMaster ensure that customers receive the most accurate means of dimensional measurement. All calibrations follow the company’s SOPs, all calibration reports are electronic and all equipment is NIST traceable.

Expanding ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Scope of Accreditation

August 29, 2011 – Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. Expands Their ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Scope of Accreditation.

LANSDALE, PENNSYLVANIA— Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. announced today the completion of their A2LA 17025 Assessment Audit and their expanded scope of accreditation. While there are many commonalities with ISO 9001:2008, which the Company has held for more than seven years, ISO/IEC 17025:2005 applies directly to Metrology Laboratories that produce testing and calibration results.

ISO/IEC 17025:2005 focuses on the quality management system within a laboratory. A prerequisite to qualification is to have a documented quality management system already in place. The comprehensive assessment conducted by The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) addressed the competence of the Metrology technicians and support staff, an inspection of the facility, a review of calibration procedures, an analysis of traceability and an appraisal of the methodologies used as well as the calibration equipment. It ensures customers of the most reliable testing methods available.

Expanded capabilities include:

August 2010 – Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. Announces New IT Director

Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. announced today that George Fenzil has been appointed Director, Information Technology Services.

“George comes to us from Toll Brothers, Inc. where he was employed for 20 years, achieving the title of Associate Vice President of Information Technology,” said Joseph Uricchio, Founder and President of Integrated Service Solutions, Inc.

George’s expertise includes staff leadership, hands-on applications development, project management, and systems implementation. He was responsible for supervising up to 90 IT associates throughout the U.S. at Toll Brothers as they achieved prominence in home construction.

“Our company is very fortunate to be at a stage where we need George’s expertise. The demonstrated background of success that he brings to us will greatly assist in the development and implementation of several new platforms in addition to providing enhancements to our existing database systems and software. Many of our new customers also need IT products and services that we will develop and market to them,” added Uricchio.
