Announcing Browser Applications for Mobile Devices

March 3, 2014— Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. announced today the release of custom designed browser applications allowing customers easy access to view electronic calibration reports on mobile devices.

In February, the Company officially launched their GenCal II™ Certificate Management System. This custom designed database is now optimized for the growing mobile device market.

Catherine Peetros, Director of Operations said, “Earlier this year, our in-house IT group designed an easy-to-use interface and a centralized, searchable database to store, view and retrieve electronic certificates. Now they’ve enhanced this product  by adding more flexibility.  This latest addition of value added services for our customers includes a browser application allowing them to view their electronic documents on mobile devices such as tablets, the iPhone and Droid devices.”

George Fenzil, Director of IT added, “This system gives an authorized QA representative at a customer site the ability to spot check equipment calibration records with an iPhone or iPad.  This convenient and quick access to electronic documents makes it easy to pull up electronic records by scanning the bar coded label. It’s another way to differentiate our services and provide our customers with the latest in technology.”

To ensure the integrity of the data, the platform uses multiple layers of security such as; Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption, password protection, a company-owned and managed firewall and other state of the art technologies. Customers request login credentials and all logins and downloads are recorded with a timestamp, user id and IP address.

“Providing our client base with a well organized document management system, ensures that they have ready access to all of their electronic documents in the event of an FDA or client audit and helps reduce administrative overhead for them,” added Peetros.

The company’s electronic documents and e-signatures, introduced more than eight years ago, are 21 CFR 11 Compliant. Announcing New Hires for 2014

Expanded Fleet of Service Vehicles

November 1, 2013 – Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. announced today that they have expanded their fleet of service vehicles. Adding to the roster of the cargo Chevy Van and crossover SUV Honda Elements is the brand new Nissan nv200 van. This compact cargo van is car-based with practicality and gas mileage in mind.

“We have a robust service business where we pick up and deliver customer equipment to and from our Metrology lab for calibration, said Catherine Peetros,” Director of Business Development. “Having this personalized service ensures that sensitive test and measurement instruments are handled with care. Adding another fuel-efficient service vehicle expands our capacity and provides our customers with personalized service.”

ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Earned

July 2007 – A2LA has accredited Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. for technical competence in the field of Calibration

LANSDALE, PENNSYLVANIA— Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. announced today their accreditation by A2LA for ISO/IEC 17025:2005. While there are many commonalities with ISO 9001:2000 which the Company has held for the past three years, ISO/IEC 17025:2005 applies directly to Metrology Laboratories that produce testing and calibration results.

In announcing the accreditation, Manny Cabanas, Director of Quality Assurance, said, “accreditation under an ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) recognized Registrar ensures us a ‘no questions asked’ status among world class calibration providers, and enables us to meet the needs of our GMP Clients for ‘competent’ & ‘professionally’ rendered services. We are setting the bar higher, by this level of Accreditation.”

Certification to the prestigious ISO/IEC 17025:2005 is directly related to the quality management system within a laboratory. A prerequisite to qualification is to have a documented quality management system already in place. The comprehensive assessment conducted by The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) addressed the competence of the staff, an inspection of the facility, a review of calibration procedures, analysis of traceability and an appraisal of the methodologies used as well as the calibration equipment.

Laboratories use ISO/IEC 17025 to implement a quality system aimed at improving their ability to consistently produce valid results and since the standard is about competence, accreditation is a formal recognition of that competence.

Accreditation by nationally recognized organizations provides customers with confidence in calibration reports and traceability. In addition, an unbiased assessment of a laboratory’s standards and procedures provides an impartial viewpoint as to how a laboratory functions.
