GenCal II™ Certificate Management System Online

Certificate Management System - Integrated Service Solutions

February 3, 2014— Announcing the release of the GenCal II™ Certificate Management System website. This proprietary application was developed by the IT team at Integrated Service Solutions to provide our customers with easy access to their electronic calibration documents via our website.

Catherine Peetros, Director of Operations said, “All of the calibrations we perform are recorded electronically. And we wanted to provide our customers with quick access to their files. So our IT group designed an easy-to-use interface and a centralized, searchable database to store, view and retrieve electronic certificates.”

To ensure the integrity of the data, the platform uses multiple layers of security such as; Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption, password protection, a company-owned and managed firewall and other state of the art technologies. Customers request login credentials and all logins and downloads are recorded with a timestamp, user id and IP address.

“Providing our client base with a well organized document management system, ensures that they have ready access to all of their electronic documents in the event of an FDA or client audit and helps reduce administrative overhead for them,” added Peetros.

Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. has been a pioneer in the use of electronic calibration reports and bar coded labels as part of their comprehensive equipment calibration and maintenance program. The company’s electronic documents and e-signatures, introduced more than eight years ago, are 21 CFR 11 Compliant. This compliance is part of the FDA Code of Regulations which defines criteria to ensure that electronic records are trustworthy and reliable.

Expanded Fleet of Service Vehicles

November 1, 2013 – Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. announced today that they have expanded their fleet of service vehicles. Adding to the roster of the cargo Chevy Van and crossover SUV Honda Elements is the brand new Nissan nv200 van. This compact cargo van is car-based with practicality and gas mileage in mind.

“We have a robust service business where we pick up and deliver customer equipment to and from our Metrology lab for calibration, said Catherine Peetros,” Director of Business Development. “Having this personalized service ensures that sensitive test and measurement instruments are handled with care. Adding another fuel-efficient service vehicle expands our capacity and provides our customers with personalized service.”

ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited continued through April 2015

October 1, 2013— Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. announced today that they are approved for continued as well as an expanded scope of accreditation by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). The Metrology Laboratory is now accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 through April 30, 2015.

While there are many commonalities with ISO 9001:2008, which the Company has held for the past nine years, ISO/IEC 17025:2005 applies directly to Metrology Laboratories that produce testing and calibration results.

“ISO/IEC 17025:2005 is an internationally recognized standard that is used to evaluate laboratories worldwide, said Catherine Peetros,” Director of Business Development. “Having this accreditation is a benefit to our customers. They understand that our laboratory is technically competent and that we routinely participate in proficiency testing programs to demonstrate accurate calibration data.”

Maintaining the prestigious ISO/IEC 17025:2005 is directly related to the quality management system within a laboratory. A prerequisite to qualification is to have a documented quality management system already in place. The comprehensive assessment conducted by A2LA addressed the competence of the staff, an inspection of the facility, a review of calibration procedures, analysis of traceability and an appraisal of the methodologies used as well as the calibration equipment.

Laboratories use ISO/IEC 17025 to implement a quality system aimed at improving their ability to consistently produce valid results and since the standard is about competence, accreditation is a formal recognition of that competence.

Accreditation by nationally recognized organizations provides customers with confidence in calibration reports and traceability. In addition, an unbiased assessment of a laboratory’s standards and procedures provides an impartial viewpoint as to how a laboratory functions. Introducing a Live Web Chat on our Web Site

September 4, 2013—Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. announced today the introduction of Live Chat on their web site. “The ability to talk with a live person through our web site is a stand out feature,” said Catherine Peetros, Director of Business Development. “Many times during the live chat, we direct the customer to specific pages on our web site and we can view, in real time, as they navigate the pages. This gives the ability to interact with the customers, quickly answer their questions and increase customer satisfaction. It adds the vital personal touch.”

Live chat is becoming more and more commonplace on websites as they look to differentiate themselves and provide customers with an engaging experience. Many people surveyed said they dislike waiting around for replies to emails. Instead, they are looking for real-time answers to questions.

Successful Audit by Medical Device Manufacturer to 17025 Requirements

August 22, 2013—Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. Successfully Completes Audit by Medical Device Manufacturer to 17025 Requirements— Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. announced today the successful completion of their first 17025 customer audit. The audit was conducted at the corporate office of Integrated Service Solutions by a customer who is an international medical device manufacturer.

A2LA-ISO-17025-Calibration

In July, 2007, Integrated Service Solutions earned the A2LA 17025 accreditation. Since that time, the Company undergoes annual assessment audits by A2LA which is the accrediting organization.

“Typically, we host twelve to sixteen customer audits annually at our facility,” said Catherine Peetros, Director of Business Development. “However, this is the first time that a customer conducted their audit to the rigorous requirements of 17025.”

Audits conducted to 17025 requirements focus on the competence of calibration laboratories and a quality system that demonstrates the ability to consistently produce valid results. In addition, the auditor looks for proof that there are continuous improvements to the quality system itself and, in particular, communication to the customer.

Noteworthy comments from the auditor include feedback such as:

  • Very impressed with the facility and the Metrology Lab
  • Your electronic documentation is the first I’ve seen of its kind. Typically, an audit consists of reams and reams of paper. Having everything electronic is impressive and a first of its kind.
  • Your quality system is mature and everything is well documented including your training records
  • There is clear evidence that dollars are reinvested in the company

“Customer satisfaction is a key component of our service business and ties directly to our 17025 accreditation as well as our ISO registration. So we regularly survey our client base to get their feedback, insight and suggestions. Our client satisfaction program is a mature system with traceable results and is a vital differentiator when customers are choosing their service provider,” added Peetros.

This is an internationally recognized standard to ensure that a company’s quality management system is operating effectively and that clear corporate goals have been defined.   • A Quality Management System (QMS) that is mature.
  • Established procedures and processes are in place for the delivery of services. All calibrations for new customers are 100% reviewed by the quality team. All new technicians receive hands-on training in the field by senior staff and their work is 100% inspected.
  • Customer satisfaction survey returns is in the 14% – 20% range with very good ratings. All customer feedback is immediately followed up with the customer and shared with all of the technicians.
  • The average number of days to close CAPAs is about 15 days vs. beating the goal of 30 days.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in delivering on site preventive maintenance and calibration services.

Celebrating 15 Years in Business

May 2013 – Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. a single source service provider for equipment calibration and maintenance thanks its customers for their ongoing support as they celebrate their fifteenth year in business.

LANSDALE, PENNSYLVANIA—Milestones are a time of reflection. 15 years ago Integrated Service Solutions opened its doors in a home-based office pioneering the idea of a single source solution for life science companies. Today the company is headquartered in a dynamic 20,000 sq. ft. modern facility, employs nearly sixty full-time professionals and services more than 500 regulated businesses throughout the country.

“When I started this business, life-science companies had little choice but to call the Original Equipment Manufacturers’ (OEMs) or multiple service providers to calibrate and service the manufacturing and packaging equipment, analytical instrumentation and tools used by their employees. I realized it wasn’t cost effective to contact dozens of companies to service equipment,” said Joseph Uricchio, Founder and President of Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. “So, we founded this company on the idea of providing businesses with a single source solution for all their equipment calibration and maintenance needs.”
