NOV. 9, 2015—LANSDALE, PENNSYLVANIA— Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. (the Company) announced today that they expanded their scope of accreditation by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for pipettes. The expanded scope now includes pipette calibrations to 0.1 uL. The full range, using the gravimetric method is 0.1 uL to 10,000 uL.

As an industry-leading service provider, the Company made the investment in the time and resources to expand their pipette accreditation to address the requirements of specific customers.

“Expanding the scope of accreditation to include this low volume pipette calibration demonstrates our technical competence and gives our clients a clear differentiator in their service provider,” said Joe Uricchio, President and CEO.

Laboratories use ISO/IEC 17025 to implement a quality system aimed at improving their ability to consistently produce valid results and since the standard is about competence, accreditation is a formal recognition of that competence.

Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. has held A2LA 17025 accreditation for pipette calibrations in the field and mail-in since 2007.

Accreditation by nationally recognized organizations provides customers with confidence in calibration reports and traceability. In addition, an unbiased assessment of a laboratory’s standards and procedures provides an impartial viewpoint as to how a laboratory functions. Providing calibration and pipette preventive maintenance services across the U.S. is quite complex. There is a wide variety of pipette manufacturers and models. To support these options properly, you need to have the trained personnel, enough test equipment and the standard operating procedures in place. While the field of pipette calibration service providers can be crowded, Integrated Service Solutions provides their growing customer base with key differentiators beyond price.

In addition to this major announcement, Integrated Service Solutions has been at the forefront of embracing the use of new technologies. They lead the way in paperless documents. Eight years ago, the Company redefined the way calibration reports were prepared. An electronic calibration database, GenCal I®,  was developed internally by the IT team at Integrated Service Solutions. Expanding on that success, a major upgrade was made to the software and re-launched as Gen Cal II® earlier this year. This validated software includes smart phone apps and easy access for customers to retrieve their calibration records via mobile devices so they are always audit ready.

MAY 1, 2015—LANSDALE, PENNSYLVANIA— Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. (the “Company”) announced today they have successfully completed their ISO 9001:2008 surveillance audit.

DQS UL, one of the leading certification bodies for management systems worldwide, conducted the audit. This highly recognized third-party auditor provides independent confirmation that Integrated Service Solutions meets the needs of regulatory requirements and demonstrates that the company has a robust and mature quality management system.

Integrated Service Solutions has a vibrant nature, your staff demonstrates enthusiasm and zeal for their work and they are focused on continuously improving what they do.

Key attributes of ISO focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

“These characteristics define the organizational structure of Integrated Service Solutions,” said Catherine Peetros, Director of Business Development and Operations. “The auditor met with many of our employees, from quality assurance, to customer service, client relations, and our technicians. It was an in depth audit that entailed reading many of our SOP’s, analyzing training records and scrutinizing our customer satisfaction program. The auditor’s comments were noteworthy: Integrated Service Solutions has a vibrant nature, your staff demonstrates enthusiasm and zeal for their work and they are focused on continuously improving what they do, added Peetros.”

The company has made numerous infrastructure improvements in the past year including:

  • Reinvested in test equipment including the purchase of the Fluke Low Pressure Calibrator. This equipment expands the capabilities of the company’s metrology lab to calibrate very low-pressure sensors, transducers, mechanical gauges, and portable calibrators.
  • Designed a “sign in/sign out” app for smart phones. This app enables the company’s field service technicians to interact with customers by having them acknowledge the arrival and departure time of the technicians.
  • Launched GenCal II™. Designed and developed by the in-house IT team at Integrated Service Solutions, GenCal II is a high performance database that connects service technicians, customers and support staff with immediate access to electronic calibration data.
  • Expansion of the company’s Certificate Management System (CMS). This electronic database provides customers with easy access to their calibration records via a password protected encrypted web site.

Expanding Capabilities to Calibrate Very Low Pressure Test Equipment

February 1, 2015 — Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. (the “Company) announced today they expanded their capabilities to calibrate very low pressure test equipment. The company has invested in the Fluke Low Pressure Calibrator/Controller thereby expanding its capabilities to calibrate very low pressure sensors, transducers, mechanical gauges, portable calibrators and plug-in modules.

The Fluke has a unique quartz sensor, the most accurate pressure sensing technology available in a digital pressure calibrator. This device allows accuracies below 3 inches water column to be +- 0.00015 inches of reading.

“Adding this very low range capability to our Metrology lab now provides our customers with a capability of very high accuracy calibrations in pressure from tenths of an inch water column up to 15000psi. In addition, our labs hallmark of fast speed of response / turnaround time combined with lower calibration costs, will allow our customers to find a total service solution with our company” said Joe Uricchio, President and CEO.

Expanding A2LA 17025 Accredited Scope to Include Balance and Scale Field Calibrations

January 27, 2015— Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. (the “Company) announced today they have received approval to expand their A2LA 17025 scope of accreditation to calibrate balances and scales on-site at customer locations.

“Expanding our scope of accreditation to provide A2LA 17025 accredited balance calibrations in the field was in direct response to our growing customer base,” said Joe Uricchio, President and CEO. “Having this capability demonstrates our technical competence and provides our clients with a clear differentiator in their service provider.”

A2LA (American Association for Laboratory Testing) is an internationally recognized accreditation body. Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. first earned their accreditation status in July 2007. Every year since then, the Company has implemented improvements via training and additional test equipment enabling it to produce accurate and repeatable calibration results.

This current expansion of their scope is a demonstrated commitment of the Company’s commitment to the regulatory requirements of their customers.
