and Succession Plan

Just a little more than a year ago, Trescal announced the acquisition of Integrated Service Solutions. The year passed quickly and after nearly twenty two years at the helm, Joseph Uricchio, Founder and CEO of ISS, decided to take a very well deserved break from full time work.

Joe’s leadership and work ethic will not be forgotten and he will continue to support the team on various projects as needed throughout the coming months.

With Joe’s retirement, Catherine Peetros has assumed the senior operations manager role for the ISS team. She has 18 years with the company and has held a broad range of responsibilities throughout her tenure – from marketing, to business development and most recently operations. She has been a very active member of the COVID-19 management team and a strong contributor to the life sciences sales effort.

Catherine will report directly to Kathy Boyd, President of Trescal US.

Along with Catherine, Renee Jarrell replaces Jennifer Uricchio as the ISS financial controller reporting to Pierre Bonzon, Chief Financial Officer, Trescal, North America.

This succession plan further strengthens the ISS team and ensures a strong client focus for many years to come. ISS will continue to operate from their Lansdale, PA facility and you will continue to see the familiar faces of your field service and Metrology lab technicians, hear the same friendly voices answer your calls and receive the same fast response to your email and live chat quote requests.

AUGUST 2019—LANSDALE, PENNSYLVANIA— Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. A Trescal company (the Company) announced today that the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) has granted them accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2017.

As an industry-leading equipment service provider to companies regulated by the FDA, the Company invested the time and resources to achieve the new standard for laboratory competence.

“Investing in the new scope, which is based on the process of risk-based thinking and a process approach to align with ISO 9001, it further demonstrates our technical competence and gives our clients a clear differentiator in their service provider,” said Joe Uricchio, Managing Director.

“Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. has held 17025 accreditation by A2LA for specific laboratory calibrations since 2007. In 2017 that scope was expanded to include field calibrations, added Uricchio.”

Laboratories use ISO/IEC 17025 to implement a quality system aimed at improving their ability to consistently produce valid results and since the standard is about competence, accreditation is a formal recognition of that competence.

“This accreditation demonstrates the technical competency of our Metrology Laboratory. It ensures that we have the technical systems in place to consistently produce accurate test data,” expressed Catherine Peetros, Director, Operations.

Accreditation by nationally recognized organizations provides customers with confidence in calibration reports and traceability. In addition, an unbiased assessment of a laboratory’s standards and procedures provides an impartial viewpoint as to how a laboratory functions. July 12, 2017—LANSDALE, PENNSYLVANIA— Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. (ISS, the Company) announced today that they were awarded a contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia to provide A2LA 17025 accredited Metrology services.

The scope of the contract, beginning in July, calls for Integrated Service Solutions to provide on-site calibrations for pipettes, centrifuges, balances and thermometers. In addition, the CDC will ship equipment to the Company’s Metrology Laboratory for accredited calibrations.

“The purpose of this contract is to provide standardization of on-site equipment calibrations across multiple labs at the CDC documented to the quality standard of ISO 17025,” said Catherine Peetros, Director Operations, Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. “We are excited to leverage our experience and technical knowledge to support the CDC.”

Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. Announces Expanded Scope of Accreditation by A2LA

Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. a single source service provider to regulated industries announces low temperature Dew Point Calibrations added to expanded scope of accreditation.

LANSDALE, PENNSYLVANIA— Integrated Service Solutions, Inc. (the Company) announced today that they expanded their scope of accreditation by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for low temperature Dew Point Calibrations. The expanded scope now includes dew point calibrations. The full ranges include -95 to 60°C FP/DP.

As an industry-leading service provider, the Company invested the time and resources to expand their accreditation to include dew point to meet the requirements of specific customers. The new test equipment is a two-temperature, two-pressure low humidity generator that operates over the range of -95°C to +10°C FP/DP with an accuracy of +/-0.1C FP/DP with the lowest uncertainty of +/-0.19°C FP/DP. This same model is the one that manufacturers use for their original factory calibrations of dew point equipment.

“Investing in the equipment and expanding the scope to deliver A2LA 17025 accredited dew point calibrations demonstrates our technical competence and gives our clients a clear differentiator in their service provider,” said Joe Uricchio, President and CEO.
“This specialized equipment complements other standards for temperature and humidity equipment in our Metrology Lab. Adding this provides our customers with a much faster turnaround time of about two weeks compared to the industry norm of up to 13 weeks and our calibration is now A2LA 17025 accredited, added Uricchio.”
